Clyde Memorial Park Refurbishment

Good Afternoon All,
I am pleased to announce that we have been selected as funding recipients for the Ontario Trillium Capital funding grant!
The grant application was submitted this summer for the rehabilitation of the Clyde Memorial Baseball Diamond for a total of $150,000.00. This will cover the infield rehabilitation to fix the ongoing drainage issues as well as new fencing along the sides of the baseball field to protect spectators from being hit with foul balls.
John Jordans office has informed us that we have received the full amount of funding that was applied for and construction on the diamond can begin as early as March 2024.
We are hoping to have both the infield and the fencing work completed prior to the 2024 baseball season. Tenders will be issued for the project as soon as possible.
As you may know there are several other projects that are needed at the baseball diamond such as the boardwalk needing replacement as well as both dugouts needing new roofs. Staff are working on incorporating those projects into the 2024 budget, this way everything can be completed during the same time frame.
